ABOUT ALEXANDRIA R. PERLE, PSY.D.

Dr. Perle’s approach focuses on the assessment of the individual as a whole person. In doing so, she combines testing data with reported and documented information to help understand each person’s unique strengths and weaknesses. This then allows her to offer personalized recommendations aimed to improve problem areas.


Originally form Southern California, Dr. Perle completed her Bachelor's in Psychology at the University of California, San Diego. She earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She completed an internship at St. Vincent Indianapolis Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana with a focus on Neuropsychology and Health Psychology, as well as a postdoctoral fellowship at Thompson Memory Center in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois with a focus on Neuropsychology. She has experience working in Level 1 trauma centers, intensive care units, acute rehabilitation departments, outpatient mental health clinics, and private practice settings.


Dr. Perle is currently an Assistant Professor and Neuropsychologist at the West Virginia University Medicine Department of Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry. In her free time, she enjoys walking in nature, playing with her dogs, and baking sweet treats to share with friends and family.
